ur team had to solve 2 complexities. First, we had to build a platform that could understand the deeply personal food choices of each user. Second, we had to solve a massive data puzzle, gathering product information from European supermarkets. A Complete Personal Experience: We needed to handle a user’s highly personal details, including their specific diets, allergies, calorie goals, and even ethical concerns like animal welfare. Getting the Data Was Tough: European supermarket data was disintegrated and in different formats, so our biggest challenge was finding a creative way to gather the detailed information our platform needed. Making Sense of the Data: The system needed to learn how to recognise that one supermarket’s store brand was the same as another. Besides, how to turn recipe ingredients into actual items people could buy. Speed Was Crucial: With a database of over 200,000 products, the system had to be incredibly fast, delivering personalised results in an instant without making the user wait.
